    Re-attaching enlarger bellows.

The lower bellows on my Beseler MXT separated from the lens standard and I want to re-glue it. Any recommendations that will do the job. I have somebody interested in buying it and would like to get something local so I don't have to wait days for shipping.

I use E6000 adhesive. Available at most hardware and lumber centers, cheap and fast.

    Re: Re-attaching enlarger bellows.

I've just repaired a 4x5 bellows that pulled away from its end frame along one edge. I used a silicone product as an adhesive: "Permetex Ultra-Black Advanced Formula Maximum Oil Resistance Gasket Maker" are the descriptors on the 3.3oz tube, purchased at Home Depot. Recommended on this forum I believe. I let a bead of the stuff sit exposed to air, and found it was still substantially resilient after a week. After gluing the bellows material back to the frame, I waited a few days, then repeatedly extended the bellows to near maximum extension. The bond held. Not definitive tests obviously, but it has me hoping that it's a durable repair. Good luck.
