    Thanks Jon - they were all shot with an old Nikon AI 55mm macro on a slightly less old Nikon D200. I greatly enjoy the combination.

    This may look like a midnight snack, but I took this photo at lunchtime, illuminated 100% with flash, 0% with ambient light. A reminder of how fast light falls-off with distance!

    Here's an obligatory shot of a cicada/17-year locust (Magicicada septendecim) that I took in the middle of last month. They've since "died-off" for another 17 years. This is the first time I've really been able to photograph them, as I didn't have a proper macro lens 17 years ago.

    Taken with expired Provia 400X film (35mm)
