It starts with a late night impulse buy

    Hey all,

I'm Rob a long time lukrer and first time poster living in England.

Have been shooting film for a fair few years but that was largely limited to 35mm but in the past 12 months got into medium format and been enjoying the process.

I always wanted to eventually get into LF even before I started shooting medium format but I never took the plunge. That changed last night after I finally purchased a Wista 45D from Japan.

I'm looking forward to finally have a go at large format and have to credit the LFPF for being such an incredible source of information in the process that eventually led to the purchase last night.

I love seeing people wading, diving, tiptoeing, sidling,or otherwise entering the craft of film photography, LF included. If I get chance, perhaps by autumn, to give a presentation on B&W film photography at a local library (postponed since last April), I'll update whatever stats on increased film sales and such that I can glean from photo stores and producers. LF is so much fun for those who enjoy the challenge of sustained concentration on problem-solving.

This is the place to be, as you have already discovered.

Good news, the slow, deliberative process of LF will quickly cure your impulse issues.

    You’ve purchased the right medicine!
