I have the F2 and love it. It's light, has plenty of movements for what I shoot with it, (primarily landscapes with shorter hikes) focusing is a snap with the single knob and the ground glass is plenty bright. I haven't bothered shooting super wide or longer than 300mm at this point.

I went back and forth on the two options as well, but decided on the F2 for the longer potential reach. I find that large format is such a slow, meditative process that I don't mind the extra setup steps on the F2.

The H series have short bellows and don't fold - great for very wide-angle architecture but limiting otherwise. The option to change backs is interesting. Personally, I think MF 6x17 makes more sense than 4x10 in LF (assuming you have an 8x10 enlarger or scan). 5x7 is not a super popular choice nor does it have film selection. The F has an asymmetrical tilt which is a power user tool. The N folds, has long bellows, and is cheaper than the F series. It is the best all-rounder and suits more people than either of the other two models. I have not felt limited by the N series at with end of the focal length spectrum. Although I will admit I rarely shoot at anywhere close to the 600mm extension possible with the extension plate.

I have owned the N series and the F series. Never was interested in the H. I also shoot MF 6x17 (Shen Hao view camera) and 8x10. 4x5 is the sweet spot for cost, portability, and detail.

The 45-H1 has asymmetrical tilt as well.

I liked the H for its quickness, right out of the bag... set her up, lets go! Honestly, I sold mine and I regret it... one of those "we need some cash, asap" situations. Otherwise, it would still be in my bag.

I may buy a Chamonix H

Then save some SS and buy the 4x10 conversion

2 cameras in one

I really hate folding any camera

I store my folders unfolded

I once had a really nice British 8X10 with amazing red leather bellows

except the folds we're all stuck together

and did not separate well...
