Fuji 300mm W w/Inside Lettering?

Regarding this Fuji FUJINON-SW 300mm f9 lens and the subclub webpage: if you look at the comments in the last column on the right side it says that reportedly only 3 of these lenses were made:

"It is marked inside the filter ring. It is an enormous lens in terms of size, cost and weight. It weighed in at over seven pounds! It was a special order lens, and reportedly only three were actually made."

300mm f9 Fujionon SW, only three made.. Rare yes, where would a lens like this be used-required?

Keep in mind back when Fujinon LF lenses were in mass production, ULF was a pure oddity with the 20x24 Polaroid camera just beginning to happen and it was also not a common camera-format. Speculation would note th3 300mm SW fujinon might have been made for these 20x24 cameras. Beyond that. IMO, the 300mm f9 Fujinon SW is not of much value unless there is a need for a wide angle ULF camera... which has become a "thing" today.
