Back in the days when I first switched to PMK Pyro, I also switched to TF-4 as my fixer since the theory was that it would work better with staining developers.
How does Hypam work in this context? (Pycrocat, PMK. Rolo ...) Insofar as I use Hypam for all things paper, it would be easier to stock only one fixer (mixed separately for film and paper, of course) but I won't do that if Hypan is unsuited for negatives produced with staining developers.

Either Ilford Hypam or Rapid Fixer (they are essentially the same and work at the same pH) will work fine with pyro / catechol staining developers.
I've switched from TF4 even though it works fine. I use ammonium thiosulfate (Ilford Rapid Fixer) now because it works for film, dry plate, wet plate.

Me too: PMK for film, fixer is Hypam or Rapid Fixer. Never a problem.
