After having spent a week of crystal clear days (aarrgghh!), the fog finally rolled in about an hour before we had to hop on the return boat. So I skipped breakfast, picked up my camera and sprinted over the top of the island to the eastern side. At any rate, here's one of a few I managed before the sun broke through (and I had to catch the boat!):

Very nice. A bit jealous because I like that subject matter and place too, and have spent some time hurrying around out there but it didn't lead to great photos. I think some physical exertion leads to great photos because it gets the brain in gear.

Thanks JP...just the way I feel (a bit jealous) when viewing your ethereal tree branches - great use of those vintage lenses!

My wife and myself have been going to Monhegan for years...but I can never seem to hit it right for fog. One trip...again - after a week of clear blue skies, we were just departing on the boat when...in rolls an amazing fog bank - which had apparently settled in for days, but too many commitments prevented my timely return. Grrrr!

(oh...and there appears to be a darker area on the upper left of this print as posted - not present on the actual print)

Very nice. Well done. This thread is a winner so far

I’d like to see Monhegan Island in person one day. George Tice did some awesome work there.

There was an article in the newspaper as few days ago, mentioning that walking was good for creativity.

    Canon EOS1Ds, 11-24 @ 11mm.

Found on a drive home so I took a quick shot as I didn't have time. But it's worth a visit with better light and more time I think.
