How long can I keep film developer

Last Sunday I prepared 1 liter of DD-X but for some reason I did not start to develop my film. I have saved it in a closed brown bottle.

Can I still use it after one week, or do I just make a new batch ?

    Thanks
    Patrick

Per Ilford - ILFOTEC DD-X is supplied as a liquid concentrate for one-shot use. Should be diluted 1+4 with water before use. ILFOTEC DD-X working strength solutions should not be kept for more than 24 hours.

So is your mix 1-4 diluted or the concentrate?

For years I have been using Rodinol which is 'One shot', it must be mixed and used shortly

My favorite dilution is 10 ml to 1000m; distilled water per 80 sq inches of film

I vary strength and times, but always at 70F

and I never say it is 10ml and 990 ml

It’s the 1-4 diluted one, so I’ll throw it away :-(

You can mix it just before use rather than ahead of time so you don't waste it. For the Pyrocat M I use, I get the water to temperature, and then add the parts A and B just before it goes in the tank. You can mix while presoaking your film.
