    Black Apple and two nuts.

From a 5x7 inch wet plate collodion negative, made with the Intrepid 5x7 Camera and 6-3/8" Kodak Anasitigmat lens, at f8.
Exposure was 7 minutes, using Quinn's Negative collodion and developer.

    Thanks very much, Otto.

A new wet plate collodion image (as a negative) from yesterday, made with the 5x7 Intrepid Camera and Kodak Anastigmat 6-3/8" lens, at f5.6 & 1/2 The exposure was 7 minutes.
The earlier Kodak Anastigmat lenses are wonderful to work with, especially for wet plate. No UV coating means they are slightly faster than modern multi-coated lenses, and they are exquisitely sharp, with beautiful out-of-focus softness. This l;ens cost me $45, fully functional shutter included.

Thank you very much! Getting this kind of photograph out of wet plate collodion is no small feat.

New work from yesterday - 4x5 inch wet plate collodion negative (on glass)

The Last Zinnias (Bessie watches from Above)

    Camera: Intrepid 4x5
Lens: 113 mm f4.5 Kodak Color Printing Ektar, 1965, wide open. (These are supposedly Heliar designs, and this one has great Petzval-like bokeh when used right)
    Collodion: Quinn's Negative
    Exposure: 7 minutes.
