    Re: Film changing tent

I used the Photoflex Changing Room for years until I fully light proofed my darkroom. If folds down nice and flat too which maybe helpful for packing on a roadtrip. It does hold in heat so you may need to pull your arms out every couple of minutes to reduce sweat.
The magic you are looking for is in the work you are avoiding.

    Re: Film changing tent

I recently picked up a Calumet changing tent for about $160 with shipping to the US after becoming beyond frustrated with loading 4x5 in a Patterson changing bag. I live in an apartment and don't really have a suitable darkroom space. The Calumet tent has worked well for me so far and might be closer to your budget. The tent will become increasingly hot and humid the longer you're in it, so I try to work fast to avoid my film getting stuck when using Patterson reels. Not so much of a problem with the SP-445 or when loading film holders.
