Problem using varnish

Hello!

Anyone have any idea what happens here?
When applying sandarac varnish the colours change and ruins the photo.
This happened a few random times and I have no idea how to avoid this.

which photo is the one with the varnish? in my experience the varnish always makes the tone a bit warmer.

This one have varnish on it.
Almost like it dissolves and looses clarity.

Try mixing some new. Solvents in the varnish can dissolve images made with old collodion.

Varnish can dissolve images off plates made with old collodion.

[Swede]

Not heating the plates solved the varnish problem.
Maybe the collodion is too old.
