I have had a Minolta Autometer IV f for years and like it.
What spot attachments were made for it? I understood that no 1 deg attachments were made. Were there 5 deg and/or 10 deg accessories made?

There are only three types of mounting flanges; too big, too small and wrong thread!
Both. There are 5 and 10 degree spot attachments.
I use the 10 deg spot attachment and like it very much, it has it's own carry pouch that's always attached to one of my IVf meters, of which I have five. The spot attachment attaches and detaches very quickly- similar to the incident dome, fresnel attachment, etc. The 10 deg is especially useful in a studio for making sure a large white paper or cyc is evenly illuminated.
I often point it at a grey card placed in a scene as a super-quick and effective metering practice.

I believe you have to add or subtract one stop with the 5 degree attachment when used on the iv but not on the v.
I have the 10 degree and the ivf and it works well. A v is better as it comes with an on off switch. I found the battery drains on the ivy so I keep it out when not using it.

I have an IVF with the 5 degree spot attachment. My non-scientific testing on blank surfaces against my Pentax Spotmeter V (and in actual use) indicates only about 1/3 of a stop addition is needed when using the attachment. As always YMMV.

Correction to my post: I was confusing my Sony RX100 IV camera with my Minolta IIIf Autometer. I don't have the Minolta IVf rather the IIIf. It's the Minolta IV Autometer that accepts the 5-degree and 10-degree spot. The III has to be adjusted by 1.2 stops when using the 5-degree spot. For example, if you read f 5.6 on the meter, change it to f/8.2,

OK...there are both 5 and 10 degree attachments. Are they marked externally or can th difference be seen by looking through the finder?

Drew: It says it on the attachment. At least the 10 degree does.
