Durst CLS450 repair

Hi!

I have this Durst CLS450 head that im trying to repair but im a bit stuck. The little metal rod connecting the angle gear to the head is broken and I can't get it out even after removing the 4 little screws. I think I have a little metal rod that fits - does anyone here have experience repairing that part? Is there a special trick to remove the part?
