    Kodak industrial x-ray film

I don't know much about it, if you do please add data!

But there are interesting sizes available and something 'like' quickload MAYBE!

Looks to me like X-Ray NDT is moving to full digital sensors and film is going extinct there too

    4 1/2" x 17" is certainly an interesting size. Almost 1:4 ratio, 440mm IC needed. Oh and a camera/holder .

Where I work the weld inspection(outside vendor) is still done with film and the specs still call for film as the primary recording medium.

Carestream says the films are blue sensitive only at least in the visible spectrum. Primarily they are used with direct exposure to the x-ray. I believe the “quickloads” are within lead foil packets so wouldn’t be suitable. They are designed to be very high contrast, but I think with the right developer you could probably tame it.

The one thing I’m not sure of is if the emulsion is single or double sided. Some sheets are notched so that may mean single sided.

Get the 3.5" x 17" hangers instead and use a modified darkslide to get two of them on a 7x17 sheet of film!
