Suggestions For Wide Angle Lens on 8x10

Hi, I am going to start looking for a wide angle lens for my 8x10.

I currently have a 300mm F5.6 as my normal lens and the 150XL F5.6 as my very wide lens.

I am looking for a good quality lens that isn't too big and heavy that is between the 300 and the 150.

I mostly photograph landscapes.

Interested in hearing your thoughts and suggestions.

My personal favorite is my 7.5 inch (190mm) Wide Field Ektar, from Kodak.

I use a Goerz 6.5" WA Dagor. If you have a 300 mm lens, an 210-240 G-Claron may be a good second lens. L

Graphic Kowa or Computar 210mm. Or perhaps a 240mm G-Claron. IMO the more modern lenses would pair better with what you have.

As others have said, it's a very common question. Unfortunately, for some reason 8x10 doesn't have the obvious choice of wide angle lens like 4x5 does with the 90mm-class lens selection. I personally think the aforementioned Graphic Kowa is as close as one gets to the "just get a 90mm f/8 lens and shoot" option as one can get for the average 8x10 user. A couple folks think the GK isn't all that, and there's the issue of f/9 aperture for some, but it is very small and lightweight. I'm not sure of the G-Claron's IC at 210mm, and I don't know any modern 180mm lenses that cover with great excess like the 90mm lenses on 4x5.
