Specs for 300mm Rodagon-G Enl. Lens?

What is the optimum enlargement factor for a Rodenstock 300mm Rodagon-G f5.6 Multicoated enlarging lens? For example, what's the optimum print size using this lens to which I could enlarge an 8x10 negative? I know they can print large; but, how large?

What tends to be the optimum aperture for this lens?

What's the image circle of this lens? (e.g. the largest negative that it can print?)

Specified range is 8x-30x with optimum at 20x.

    It is under 'prograf'
I have been using the Rodagon 300mm for about 12 years, it is a great lens, never had any reason to use anything different. My basement is not big enough for the "G" ; 200 inch print !!

Thanks for the graphs. Wow indeed!

It's funny . . . I print small and typically don't print larger than on 8x10 paper. (Maybe I'll start printing 80x100's. Trouble is, my darkroom is smaller than this.)

While these lenses are probably pretty rare, I'm thinking that their practical applications are also rare. Is there any use for a lens like this in today's world?

Billboards. It makes a terrible standard size range of prints.. the Rodagon would easily outperform it for prints upto 8x

    Thanks Bob for your reply.

How would a lens like this be used for billboards? Based on size, it makes sense. But, what would be the (simplified) process that makes use of a lens like this? Is it digital in nature, or do they still use photo sensitive paper for this purpose?

They used photo paper, the G series well predates digital. It was also commonly used for those large ads in airports.
