Epson Scanner V850 4x5 holder

I notice that the 4x5 film is slightly larger than the scanner holder for it so it squeezes the film when claiming down the lid on the holder. Is this right? Should I cut the film rebate a little so it fits flat before closing the lid?

Doesn't sound right to me. Commercially cut film fits my V700 4x5 holder fine.

Font use the holder, but didn't notice when I did. I eill check with my Epson holder when I get home from travel.

That is the way it is designed to be used, check the instruction booklet. Personally I think it's awful and never use it.
