    Hi,
I‘ve a chance to buy this Linhof tripod. But it looks odd with the super short center column and long struts. It looks unlike the Linhof Rekordprofil Stativ I have seen before.
Has anyone ever seen this version? I’m not sure if it’s as stable as the more common one. Apparently it extends to 150cm.
    Thank you
    P

Yes, we sold them. It has spreadable legs without detaching the struts like the others in the series. The black version was the latest. The upper locks on the legs control the leg spread angle.

It is just as stable as the other Lightweight Pro models.

Thank you very much, Bob Salomon. So that means the legs will only extend one time, as the upper locks control the legs spread angle? Would it be inconvenient having to operate 3 locks for adjusting the leg angle? I wondered why they designed it that way with this model. The seller told me, he has two center columns , short and long.

I guess those locks are only needed, when one wants to extend the leg spread angle beyond the usual amount, correct?

The short column is so it can get low to the ground.
Yes, each lock controls that leg’s spread.
