You might have to start following the major photographic auctions online, but expect it will not be cheap as you will be bidding against major collectors, then fees and shipping (some will be bidding as a collector's piece, display decor, museum piece etc)... And still buying sight unseen... Or you can wait (maybe years) until one shows up...

Define want vs need for yourself, as in what you need to shoot now vs what you would want (to blow your mind)...

I second that it's mostly likely for sale at [ ] for a very fair price of [ ].

This store is local to me and I have bought many LF items from them over the years.

Sorry, I should have also mentioned CatLABS (www.catlabs.info) - Omer is a member here and his shop has been regularly stocking LF cameras.

Re: Where to find a [scarce view camera]?

Soon after OP made his request, I sent a brief PM to OP, "Kumar, Igor"

    No reply for clarification

Kumar lives in Japan and sells mostly used Made in Japan Photography gear

Igor is common shorthand here for the seller Oren Grad suggested

I have bought from both Kumar and Igor with total satisfaction

Lastly my comment to check eBay was perhaps a false flag, as the item there was listed in response to this thread...it is OBO

This is so silly. We have all regretted getting rid of certain gear. Sometimes you get the opportunity to buy another example, sometime you don't. I can't imagine any piece of gear so rare that you are embarrassed to even mention what it was. I suspect a huge amount of rare gear has passed through the hands of many forum members. Gold dot Dagors, 10x12 Deardorffs etc...

Karl, if you want to flame someone, flame the moderator - I deleted the specifics, not the OP. Please read post #2 carefully.

A periodic refresh of general discussions about where to look for LF gear makes sense, as market conditions are continually changing. Some of the dealers who were big players in second-hand LF in past years have abandoned it or closed entirely, the mix of stuff on eBay continues to evolve, what's going on in which discussion forums evolves, and so on.

At no point in post #2 do you indicate you deleted the specifics in those brackets. Thus it makes the OP seem quite odd and this thread ridiculous.

Strange I did not receive a PM.

The camera I am looking for is listed in the WTB forum. I had posted here unaware of posting guidelines and as Oren mentioned, that is why the names have been redacted.

There is a copy of what I’m looking for on eBay but it’s being sold as a kit and I’ve reached out to the seller numerous times with no response. I’d be happy to give my business to someone here on the forum.
