From this KODAK web page it seems I have 136 year old new glass plates
I shot one 3 years ago with strobes, my hat avatar is that result
The more I read on LFPF it seemed I needed real daylight, so today at noon, light clouds, used a meter and Sunny 16 to pick a 1 second f16 exposure, but changed my mind just before shot to move to f8 at 1 sec
Here is the scan after PS contrast, I added a tint to bring out the clouds, the foreground was in deep shade, focus was on the garbage can, the splotches may be mold on back side of glass.
The secondary test was using a new Wet Plate holder from Chroma Camera. Looks like it passed, the plate fit perfectly
