4x5 vs 9x12 film holder compatibility

Hello everyone,

Am new to this whole LF and have just bought a Linhof Kardan Bi which should arrive shortly.
However the seller only had 9x12 film holders and I think I would prefer 4x5 film holders.

I have found a set of 5 lisco regal 4x5 film holders for a good price but I'm not sure if they work with the linhof international back?

Can anyone help ?

Hi Carrotious & Welcome!

Yes the Linsco Regal 4x5 holders will work perfectly and are what your after for 4x5 negatives.

The outer dimensions & T distance of both holders are the same for both 9x12cm & the 4x5" it's simply the film size each takes that is different.
