Century Model 40 Ground Glass + Film Holders Replacement

Hello everyone. This is my first post. I just joined today. I have never shot with a 4x5 field camera, unless you count pinhole cameras in high school.

I just acquired a Century Model 40. The lens, bellows, and body are in terrific shape. However, the ground glass was cracked and needs replacing. I measured the frame where its held and it seems that it's just 4x5, nothing more, nothing less. I wanted to check here to see if anyone had any recommendations on how to find a replacement. There's many options out there, including making one myself. There's not much on Century cameras in terms of this, so I thought someone out there might have a similar model and would be more knowledgeable on the subject.

It did also did not come with film holders and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on that as well.

Lastly, the door that covers up the ground glass, the latch is a little busted. I imagine, using a dark hood when taking photos shouldn't really make this an issue, but figured I'd mention it as well.

Thank you for tolerating and reading this message. I hope I did not offend anyone by not knowing correct terminology or being such a novice. I've shot 35mm, 120, and digital. Large format is just over my head, but I'm determined to learn and get there.

Holders are universal. Make sure you get newer ones designed for film and not plates. Should be able to find ground glass on ebay.

Have some spare groundglasses...also 4x5. Are you in Europe?
