So I just managed to snag a working Anniversary Speed Graphic 45. The only thing wrong with it, other than the fact that the rear bed racks had jumped their grooves and were flopping about in the body (easy fix) was that the viewing hood on the spring back (Graphic back) was missing the latch, so the spring-loaded hood is always open. For the time being I exchanged the hood, GG plate and springs with those from my Pacemaker Speed (also a Graphic back, oddly enough, but with the removable self-erecting metal hood). It's a temporary solution, since I do appreciate the simplicity of the original leather and metal half-hood of the original back, and I want to be able to have both cameras usable in the field at the same time.

I haven't thought much about repair or improvising some sort of replacement, but I am curious as to how the latch worked. Does anyone have a closeup picture of the hood latch they'd care to upload?
