Sinar P Front and rear standard zeros are off from each other

I'm trying to zero out my Sinar P.

When I set the rise/fall on the front and rear standards to zero, on the detent, the front standard is about 1.25" higher than the rear, or the rear is 1.25" lower than the front.

Is there a way to reset the zero on one or the other so they are the same?

    Thanks in advance.

Ask Bob Watkins at Precision Camera Works in Fairmont California. He may know.

Is your front standard from an 810 model and your rear from a 57?

I sold my Sinar P with 3 format kit.

    Don’t miss it all

Read the manual as I now use a Norma and much happier

As I no longer have P I cannot check and report

But I think you got a mismatch set which happens all the time on eBay

That instruction manual is for the P2 C2 F1 and F2. So it may not have the indents that your P has. I have the P, and the indents for the rear standard are color coded red, green and black. There are only 2 indents on the front standard and they are red and black. If I zero them out on the red indents they are as you said, the front standard is about 1.25" higher than the rear standard. If I zero them out on the black indent, they are equal. So just to be sure, does yours look like this? I don't think I can help beyond this. But it is helpful to know that we're discussing the same camera and the standards are the same too.

I just read the P2 manual all the way

There are different combos and mismatches possible

They all work, but the heights can vary

There are heavy duty, and diff formats

    Find a P manual
