    Interesting, but indeed a little sinister. I was thinking more of "Day of the Triffids". Carnivorous kale, with someone's head about to disappear down the middle, like a giant sea anemone digesting a tide pool victim. ... Or maybe I just pulled too much St Augustine grass yesterday; I'm convinced its rope-like tangles have devoured more than one puppy or kitten around here.

    One of our favorite vegetables. Wife boils it until tender, with bacon strips (alt - cubed ham), onion, and a bit of olive oil. I love it with a bit of apple cider vinegar.
