    Moved?

I see my post today was moved. Where? Why? Did I post it in the wrong subforum? Confused. Thanks.

    Re: Moved?

It possibly has to do with this forum’s definition of ‘large format’. They define by the negative size rather than the camera used or final print size.

Yes, it's not within our core topic areas as defined by the Forum guidelines. But it's perfectly fine as a Lounge topic, and there is no problem at all if you'd like to pursue it there.

    Re: Moved?

OK. Thanks for the explanation. I see now that acceptable posts can involve "a digital back with a nominal sensor size of 4"x5" or larger to be LF, as well, regardless of technology." My post obviously did not fit that criterion. I offered it as an idea that some in your forum might find useful in using a LF camera. I certainly have. I understand now that it is not the kind of post that this forum is for.

We've had discussions on this topic - stitching captures from digital cameras mounted on LF cameras - in the Lounge before. See, for example:

    Thank you Oren Grad,

Wow! That is quite a sophisticated set-up you linked. I'm not sure I even understand it fully other than it is capturing view camera/lens images with a digital sensor. Very impressive. You obviously have very talented and creative forum members.
