I would recommend avoiding Velvia. It might look stunning on a lightbox or using a slide projector; but it is less cooperative to scanning and printing than middle-or-the-road chrome films like Fuji Provia and Kodak Ektar. And Ektar has a significant advantage over Provia because it's coated on a more stable polyester base. Provia is coated on triacetate. I won't go into all the whatevers, or engage in all the usual food-fight arguments why not, at least in this thread. It's my well earned two cents of advice, if I deserve one cent a decade for all the big prints I've made from LF chromes.
