How to keep stand mount and head from spinning

See pic, this Bogen studio stand mount spins and locks down, but when I attach the head to it, although I can tighten it, the camera is so large that it's easily rotated. What's the proper way of connecting these together to prevention rotation?

Try thin dense hobby foam in between. It needs something to grip. If you need thinner try, a couple of strips of electrical tape or gaffers tape.
The magic you are looking for is in the work you are avoiding.

Thanks. I thought there may have been some sort of mechanical solution everyone knew about except me :| Tried to find my old mouse pad but ended up sacrificing a Frank Zappa coaster, I'll see how that works.

    Thanks for the reply.

If that doesn't work well, you could try a rubber sink stopper. Just cut with scissors to fit and then glue to the tripod head.

First get rid of that crap on there. Then drill and tap the mount for a set screw. Your problem will be solved for good.

You wasted a Frank Zappa coaster on that? Hope you have more!

No worries. They are only $3.00 a piece. Might have to get some myself!

Still useable, but I did change to the sink stopper you suggested.

I hope the sink stopper works out for you. Either way, have a beer for Frank!
