I guess if the larger one is for a lens in barrel that does not protrude past the flange.

Is it wrong of me to consider mounting that flange to the back of a Chamonix board to do the exact same thing? I have an 18" Beseler opaque projector lens mounted to a Chamonix board that doesn't protrude past the flange. I imagine the only loss would be the reduction of light through the slightly smaller hole in the Verito flange when using the Beseler lens.
