Rise/fall and shift mechanisms on Horseman L45 basic model

I bought a new (to me) "Horseman L45" for a very modest price of less than $200 shipped. It appears basically unused. I imagine that back in the day it cost a bit more than that!

I'm happy to get one again after selling the one I had a few years ago.

However, this one is slightly different than the other model I had. That one had geared rise/fall and shift mechanisms that one operates by rotating a knob.

This one appears to have nothing other than a locking mechanism, without the integrated knobs to operate the rise/fall and shift.

I'm ok with the lesser specification, still a great camera, but operating the rise/fall and shift seems awkward as it appears you just grip the standard and manually press it up or down (or right left for shift after loosening the locks) instead of the smooth geared movement I was expecting. It isn't ergonomic.

I think this is the most basic model, perhaps not a L45 because the L45 displayed on the Horseman website has the rise/fall and shift geared knobs.

Which model do you think I have? Thanks.

I have 5 of those 4X5 standards, all have working gears

Also 8X10 rear with stripped gears and it worked like yours

No mention or picture of anything like that in any of the Horseman catalogs or user's manuals I have.

I don't know which is why I'm asking. I'm not trying to prove anything to you and I detect a derisive snarky tone from you that is unflattering.

Back to the camera: I don't observe any "missing parts" and the earlier models had the locking mechanism and geared control integrated into a mechanism different from this that can be seen one these cameras where the lower knob on the side of the L standards have an exterior locking mechanism and the rise/fall knob at center. Similarly the shift mechanism and locking feature is the integrated knob on the bottom of the L standards. As can be seen in this image from the Horseman web site:

There are a range of small variations of this system with slightly different letter names, I've never had one, the version with friction rise might be an LB. There is a similar picture here: https://www.keh.com/shop/4x5-horseman-lb-1.html

Thank you I had that impression that there is a range of slightly different models. That one has the same rise/fall and shift knobs as mine, but it appears to have base tilt which mine does not. My standards look like this and as far as I understand it is not "stripped for parts" etc. but rather a more basic model:
