Beseler 45S Issue

I just fired up my color head in the home darkroom today. After a few exposures, my (old and much) used Beseler Dichro 45S cut out. Fan was fine, no light from bulb. Before I get hopes up that this is as simple as a new bulb from B&H, is there anything else that this may be? FWIW, I didn’t hear any popping, the bulb just went out. Thanks so much.

Test the bulb with a meter, though you should be able to see the inside of the bulb blackened or a gap in the filament.

Thanks, Gary. Unfortunately, when pulling the bulb out I dropped it. Thought I could hear some broken filament before dropping and definitely could after. :/

now its a bulb problem for sure!

if it was worked and suddenly went dark... its more than likely the bulb.

Thanks, Paul, I agree there’s certainly a bulb problem, lol. Just wasn’t sure if I’d bought a dog of an enlarger. Thanks much.

I have a bulb that I can give you Brandon, since the 45 head I have is definitely broken and the extra bulb I got (from Gary!) didn't fix it.

Thanks, Bryan-got new bulbs from B&H and things seem to be worming okay. Sure wish this thing were a Saunders LPL.
C lol...or just had a motorized head....
