I wouldn't be buying any lenses for this format until camera is in your hands... It is a long format that only one lens FL will normally be used with... With long formats, there is a height to width ratio to work with where there is a reasonable usuable vertical height that is a little limited, so you take what you can work with...

BTW FWIW, I shoot a 5X12 Al-Vista panoramic camera that gives sufficient height, but stretches width, but can't imagine any other FL on it...

Get camera and one lens on it first and test...

I tend to make my 'panos' with a normal focal length, with occasional wide and long. I do not think panos need to be made with wide lenses...YMMD.

I have been using a 360mm for 5x14, which is on the wide side, but it is my longest lens in a shutter right now.

    I also make 4x10 images and use 210mm to 600mm for those...but a lot of 300mm and 250mm.

ALthough I have a fair number of lenses which will cover 5x12, the two which I'm most likely to carry with it are a 6 1/2" Velostigmat, and a 240 G-Claron.

Jim, is that Velostigmat a tessar type? I ask because on 5x12 a 6 1/2" lens is roughly half normal focal length, will have to cover 90 degrees. That boggles my little mind.

Were you thinking of the 159 mm EWA?

And magically a 150mm XL appears in the for sale area.

No, i wasn't thinking of the 159 EWA. I have one of those, but don't like the shutter.
