    Kodak Adjustable Safe Lamp

I use a repurposed Kodak Adjustable Safe Lamp to flash and pre flash paper. The cord needs to be replaced. Any suggestions on how to remove the light socket from the lamp? The socket will rotate but nothing seems to unscrew.

Any ideas on how to take it apart?

The socket pokes into the fixture from the outside and then a friction fit collar is attached over the socket from the inside.
I have never tried to remove the socket but I have had to tighten them up by pushing the friction fit collar back in place.
