Thanks yes it came with the glass plates, When my 5x7 film arrives I will sacrifice one sheet and make some scratches on it in the corners and the center. Mean while the wax paper sounds like a good idea might not even need to trash a piece of film.

Tried scratching unexposed neg with fine point and it work ,made the job simple.

I have both 5x7 and 8x10 Elwoods in my darkroom. On the 5x7 I use a 131mm Repromaster lens, and on my 8x10 I use a 180mm Repromaster. These lenses will cover the negatives and,because of their short focal lengths give much larger prints on the baseboard. Ihave printed 30"x40" prints on my 8x10 Elwood. I know I have done 20"x24" prints on my 5x7, but I don't remember if I tried anything larger.
The special center filter is critical to good performance. I tried to make one for the Elwood I had - then I got an Omega E.
CF can be made just as OE
