Polaroid RF Cam OK for 135mm?

Am thinking about doing a Polaroid RF conversion to 4x5...and would like to know from others who may have done this: Can I simply use my 135mm (Sironar-N) lens, and be "close enough" in terms of focus...seeing as how the RF cam is adjusted for a 127mm lens?

Or...perhaps I could adjust the focal plane so that the RF would be accurate at, say, 15 feet, then make sure that the far distance focus travel stops at actual infinity focus. This should have me covered pretty well I would think.

A lot of the Polaroid conversions use 135mm or 150mm lenses, with calibrated RF, so it's doable somehow. I didn't do mine so I don't know how, but I imagine it must not be a cam but a mechanism like the Kalart, if it's adjustable.

This fellow has a series of videos going through the whole process.

But this particular one is about the RF cam for infinity focus: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l0UVQgQ2Ppw
    And for close focus: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6ARiIXgMQs

I had thoughtthat using a longer focal length had to do with moving the focal plane back in accomplishing the conversion. I would think that the cam would need to be changed for any focal length different from the OEM lens.

There are only three types of mounting flanges; too big, too small and wrong thread!
