    My mistake

    Hi!

I joined this forum because I love analogue, old fashioned engineering and photography. I don't have any experience in LF photography, but it’s just too tempting and I’m afraid I will be sucked into in over time.

The largest format photography I use is three by three inch: Polaroid. As a small introcution, some pictures from my trip last month to the North Cape.

For now, I’ll keep on lurking to find out what type of LF photography is made for me.

    Ciao!

Most important, don't make the mistake to look through a 8x10" camera, it is addictive, don't make that mistake. See here min 0:40 what can happen, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V40Mz0mVotg

Also, if possible, avoid any contact with carbon printing, specially that genuinely made without digital negatives, the most dangerous class, it has some kind of authenticity that's also addictive.

There is another hazzard: glass, see how "sick" this (also) dutchman ended:

By no means LF is better or worse than Polaroid for photography, but LF gathers an impressive heritage that's worth to explore.

Yes, mistakes tend to channel one into alt opportunities. I learned to enjoy them (if there is such) and grow from it.
