I'll add my voice to those saying that last one especially is stunning.
Bravo !
Even though I'm more of a landscape/architecture photographer, I really like doing portraits.
But I have the landscape disease when it comes to portraits haha. I really like to compose portraits as landscapes.
They are still portraits in my mind. But maybe not to you ?
One of my latest :
Chamonix 4x5, Schneider super-angulon 90/8 @ f/8, Tmax 100, HC-110, scanned contact print on Ilford warmtone FB
You may remember how much I enjoy and respect your work. here again you show how skilled you are at mastering light and colors. Following your work on Flic.kr I just have one question... When are you gonna publish a book ? These gorgeous portraits deserve much more than being watched on a screen, don't you think ?
Large format photography is not only about size.
Thanks, that is a huge compliment I must say.
Well, I never had the strongest commercial mindset.
During a shoot with one of the kids the dad asked me if I was to sell the prints.
And I replied: Who would want to hang such a print in his/her/their home? It's not even their child?
So he said he knows several photographers who sell prints for big bucks; mostly landscape and urban explorers.
So... maybe it is all in the mind? I don't know.
But...
I'm indeed planning on making my first book/zine with this series.
First making a lot of images so I can carefully choose.
