It's rather blatant, so an obvious landmine best detoured. About as close as a hint I'll risk goes back to Psych 101 and what Skinner learned about conditioning with a reward. Reward bullies and they only get worse. And it's already gotten way worse up in tar sands country.
as a person, i dont think shes very noteworthy.
but the photo isnt bad.
.
I guess none of my ancestors or their neighbors were noteworthy either, because their portraits were taken on wetplate too. And since some of them had just emerged from the Civil War, people truly hated certain other people then too. Maybe that's why so many people mostly take selfies today. I'm obviously being facetious. Apparently the Nobel committee has a somewhat different opinion than some here when little girls risk their lives standing up to thugs. But I don't have any medals to hand out, either way.
What wonderful info. It looks very tribal and interesting I have spent time with. It makes me proud, to imagine this photo in future history books on a global scale.
I say she's more worthy of an award than our recent Medal of Freedom winner.
I think its sad that a photographic mural of Greta Thunberg is seen as "controversial". I suspect that 50 years from now, America is going to be regarded as a "denialist culture" in the first part of the 21st century.
There was an official attempt to have all my aunt's murals on the Natl Historic Register as well as Diego Rivera's etc destroyed about a dozen years ago. It wasn't just the Taliban destroying history in Afghanistan; there are sectarian purists here too. They also wanted to level the LeConte Memorial in Yosemite Valley. Welcome to the Dark Ages. Reminds me of the McCarthy witch hunts in the 50's. I was just a little kid in a town of less than a hundred people, but even it had a nutty old lady running around convinced that every neighbor had a communist hiding under their bed.
No matter how often we remind people that "Discussions of religion or partisan politics are forbidden everywhere on this Forum. More generally, this Forum is not an appropriate venue for debates over divisive social or political issues.", some insist on grinding their axes.
