Maybe you inadvertently switched to the mobile skin. There is a selection in the lower left corner:



The default choice yields the desktop skin, even on an iPhone:



But you can change it to the (barely supported) mobile skin:



I am sure the forum does not do that automatically, but many forums using vBulletin do.

In my case no, I simply go from the tab for the forum to other tabs and sometimes when I return to the forum tab the type is blown up.
