    vBulletin change

Apparently Tom just updated us to a new version of vBulletin. As a desktop computer user, I'm suspicious that it's designed for phone users, not me. Too large text spread out too much. I realize this is complaining to the wind, but, as a curmudgeon who still shoots with large format film cameras, what else can you expect?

If there are any customizing tweaks known for making 4.2.5 better on desktops, please let us know. Thanks in advance for all the volunteer moderating/supporting.

I'm not seeing the anomaly you are describing, Sal.

Just to jump on the bandwagon, all is good here. I am on Firefox and High Sierra 10.13.6

Sal, I also do not see any change in the way vBulletin renders on my screen. Currently viewing in Firefox 73.0.1, running on Windows 8.1. A quick check in Chrome 80.0.3987.116 and Internet Explorer 11.0.9600.19626 also shows no issues.

Nothing different here either. Perhaps your screen was inadvertently magnified. Try pressing command/zero (on a mac)
That will bring the magnification back to normal.

    Re: vBulletin change

Just turned on my computer for the first time since last night. All's back to normal. I'm running Firefox 73.0.1 like Oren is, but had also checked using Edge before starting this thread, and things were screwed up there too. It definitely wasn't inadvertent screen magnification; the icons, font and layout were all completely different, very "phone like," and all other Web sites looked normal. Perhaps Tom can offer an explanation of what might have happened. I sure can't.

I have the same thing happening occasionally on my lpad Pro on Safari. All apps are up to date. But sometimes when I return to the forum tab the type is greatly enlarged. Doesn’t happen with other open tabs.

Maybe you inadvertently switched to the mobile skin. There is a selection in the lower left corner:

The default choice yields the desktop skin, even on an iPhone:

But you can change it to the (barely supported) mobile skin:

I am sure the forum does not do that automatically, but many forums using vBulletin do.
