Enlarging 4x5 with Film Edges in LPL 4550XL?

I'd like to enlarge 4x5 with the full frame edges, sadly even the glass 4x5 carrier doesn't allow this. I think my Heiland LED will though, and I'm guessing a 150mm enlarging lens will cover...
    ?

Is the best way to do this to make a glass carrier? I'm guessing a couple pieces of ANR glass and some tape to make a hinge, plus masking material?

If anyone has a better idea please let me know.

    Thanks!

I use a glassless holder which I filed out the sides to make the aperture larger. Film is held on 4 sides by tension from taping the negative to the bottom of the holder. Taping the negative a bit tricky since you end up taping only a mm plus of the film's edges, but can be done.

My 4x5 glass "Durst" carrier is not an OEM carrier and the glass large enough to cover the sides of the negative, but I just hate to modify it, since I rarely print my images with the full frame edges showing. Unfortunately the carrier is unlabeled so am not able to relate to you where it came from.

AN glass on the top and good quality float glass on the bottom. The newton rings form when a smooth flat surface is in contact with the glass. That would be the base side of the film, not the emulsion side.

Weather you use a 120 WA, a 135, a 150mm or longer will not increase the amount of negative you will be able to print, they will only change the height of the head to make a given print size.
