That'd be perfect; I went with a blackened finish knurled thumb screw from JW Winco .
I think it turned out okay.
A bit of information I thought I'd add to this thread:
Using a recessed lens board, a 72mm XL works on the Intrepid, stock. In vertical orientation, you have to be cognizant of the front of the camera as it is possible to intrude into the image area with any fall.
I believe that is the widest lens possible to use on the Intrepid, without using one of the above ideas.
I'm trying to make a similar adapter. Could someone please help with the following info:
1) the length, width and height
2) Distance between the two holes
3) Diameter of each hole
4) Type of thread
To confirm the Knurled Knob is a DIN 464-M6-25?

Confirming that the front screw size is DIN 464-M6-25?

Formalized the Intrepid extension a little bit today by doing a 3D print and getting a nice knurled screw.
Did a flange to film measurement and got it to about 47mm. Little enough for any 4x5 lens I know about.
Movements are of course very limited since the bellow is very compressed. And there would be problems in portrait mode getting the rail in the picture, at least with a super wide.
But it works, and if you don't use a lot of fall on the front standard you can keep it on all the time.
This is the screw I got:

Anyone who want to print themself can pm me for the stl file.
