    Visit London and its Vicinity

I have an opportunity to visit London and its vicinity in May. Are there any LFP or photography related places and sites I should go and visit? What place is the best to spend for two days near London in UK? Thank you in advance for your inputs. David

It might be worth reaching out to the UK LF Forum?

The obvious central London one is probably The Photographers' Gallery (https://thephotographersgallery.org.uk/) but its hit and miss about Large Format - good bookshop in the basement and the cafe's ok too. Other than that I can't think of anywhere. Its worth doing a search about what's on though because there may be some relevant exhibitions which you might turn up - some years ago there was an Ansel Adams exhibition at the National Maritime Museum, rather doubtfully IMO called "From the Mountains to the Sea", https://www.rmg.co.uk/see-do/exhibit...-mountains-sea probably to satisfy the maritime requirement of the museum (I enjoyed it). So there can be relevant stuff on but it will be a matter of staying to find out if anything relevant is on when you are visiting I'm afraid.

This link gives info about ongoing photo exhibitions. Unfortunately no obvious way to limit the listing to large format only. I lived in London for 6 years but it has been so long that I can’t offer personal suggestion. https://london-photography-diary.com...t-exhibitions/

    David, Hi again

London isn't really a LF kind of City, imho

I have been in and out (for many years) I tend to go for smaller Cameras, most recently a Belair 6 x 12, I have further 'projects' in mind but they'll likely be with either a Canon 7 RF or a Yashica TLR, I'm intending to avoid tripod use

You can always pm me to discuss per se

    regards

And I assume that you're not intending to bring your 12 x 20 with you................?(your recent wtb for holders, refers)....................

    regards again

London is a very busy city

Many people everywhere, never forget to look both ways on any street

I loved my month there for Y2K, so many great museums, good pubs. I ate excellent Indian food for dinner

I also spotted a 3 child set of Artful Dodgers at work. Very fast. Running. Bump, snatch, pass and gone. Best crew I ever saw.
