    Oriental Paper

    POSTED WITH MODERATOR APPROVAL

A few members have asked if I can supply Oriental Seagull paper. I certainly can, and here are the prices. Do note that at this time I am unsure of shipping weight and the resulting costs. For the time being, I will send an estimated shipping cost and refund the excess if any.

    Thanks,
    Kumar

Is Oriental paper discontinued? Is it still being manufactured?

    Re: Oriental Paper

I still have some of the great old Oriental - but its just a bit fogged I'm afraid. Then again...I also have a bit of the old Portriga Rapid - #1 Contrast from 1982 - used in combo with Super XX negs processed under the direction of Cole Weston using his dad's ABC Pyro formula. This #1 was perfect for those negs!

Two (?) years ago I emailed and telephoned the US distributor - never got a reply. It is odd that their website does not mention availability, especially since the paper cannot be found in the US.

    Re: Oriental Paper

Oriental paper is available in Japan. Whether it is the same as the older paper, I do not know. The product designations may also differ from those in the US or other markets.
