Sadly, gone now. The building is still there but the sign is no longer.
If anyone follows NFL football and Brady’s Deflategate, saw this on a yard fence in Green Bay.

Silver gelatin print on Oriental RC. This was taken on a busy Saturday night in the Castro with the 165mm lens on a tripod mounted P67II while standing between 2 parked cars.

Cool and I learned something. "The Castro" district must be named after this theater. I most likely drove by in daylight 5 decades ago.
Looks almost the same as Chicago Theater which I know well.
Thanks for posting!

The Castro district of San Francisco was named for Castro Street which bears the name of the family of Mexican general Jose Castro (1808-1860).
The Castro Theater is on Castro St.
The family name Castro means Castle in Spanish and other Romance languages.
