    Still Life 2020

    Dear forum friends,

As I only found the still life 2019 thread, I open this new one as I just finished the photograph below of a finding from the beach.
It looks a bit like a skull of an animal / fish but I think it is probably some fragment from a spine.

Needed very long to remove all the dust it collected while drying and scanning (and I still missed some :-))

Shot on an old mirror with Arca Swiss F-Line Discovery 4x5, Goerz Dagor 150mm, Bergger Pancro 400@200 in Acurol N 1+50.

Thank you Louis. It's a pretty versatile kit, though a little heavy for hand-holding. Most of the time I've got it on a tripod.

Congratulations for the result! I like very much the photo.
My only comment (for excellence) is that the framing should have been a little wider above, so for not to cut the bottle and the flask.

I confess to having two open spots in the JOBO and wanting to "try out" a recent gorgeous 14" f5.6 WWII optic. Made by Cooke to help win freedom. After the war I think Burke & James got a bunch of them that hadn't been used and coated them. This is one of those.

The light was poor and I couldn't see much, but the lens came through! These are Cooke Aviar, but no-name and f5.6

    Wow Rob and Jim,

    I really like your photographs.

Rob's and Jim's second one have both a feeling of pictorialism from my point of view.

I don't know if this image really counts as a still life but I couldn't think of where else to put it. It is part of an ongoing series on desiccation. Toyo 45D, Fujinon 150mm f/5.6 @ f/22, 11x14 print onto Ilford Multigrade RC.
