How to obtain a Dynatect bellows.

I have had two members PM me for information about Dynatect replacement or custom bellows. This is is best quality material and precise manufacturing. The parent company started in Japan making camera bellows before WWII, then later began producing industrial bellows. The Dynatect website is not set up for ordering small custom camera bellows. Call customer service and they can take measurements from you, or measure your old bellows if you send it to them.

    Neal,

Thanks for the info, always helpful to have another source.

Do we have any feedback from customers who used their bellows on LF cameras?

Do we know what are the typical size range of bellows?

Not in the market right now, but always good to have the info before you need it,

    Len

Yes, they can duplicate the dimensions of an old bellows you send them, which I think is the best way, or they can work from measurements. Dynatect bellows are much thinner than other two layer bellows because they are all synthetic and don't use cardboard stiffeners. They are the same thickness as the frequently defective single layer bellows on Toyo cameras and mount right up on the frames with the original screws. If I use the Chinese-supplied bellows for replacement on Toyo frames, I have to countersink the screw holes a bit to get the screws to bite, as I had to do with the excellent Western Bellows when they were available. In this photo of the Dynatect bellows you can see the two narrow webs of a very tough Teflon-like material that join the folds, rather than folded cardboard stiffeners. An added benefit is that the Dynatect bellows are completely waterproof. Click image for larger version.

Dynatect is somehow connected with Nabell Corp. and their products conform to the ISO 9001 Standard. If you look at both websites you will see the same products.

    https://nabell.com/

"Nabell USA Corporation was founded in 1998 and specializes in custom bellows for a wide variety of markets. Nabell USA is subsidiary of Nabell Corporation in Japan. Nabell’s humble beginnings date back to 1972 when Mr. Akira Nagai began manufacturing camera bellows. At that time, the company was called Nagai Bellows.

Since then, Nagai Bellows has transformed itself into Nabell Group with offices and manufacturing in Japan, Korea, China and here in the United States. Through leadership and devotion to innovation, Nabell has poised our products in every major market including optical, medical, machine tool, material handling, clean room, semi-conductor, amusement, and many others.

Nabell USA is dedicated to our customers and we strive to offer the best customer service in the business."

Dynatect quotes and charges significantly less for the same work as does Nabell, so I use Dynatect.

I'll get a quote from them soon, as well.
