Hi All,
This is my first real post after my new member introduction. I just purchased my first enlarger. Up until now I have had the good fortune of being given enlargers and darkroom equipment. A few months ago I acquired a Durst 800 Elite. It was a brick, but I brought it back to life, and am now using it for black and white printing. It now has replaced a Beseler 25C II, and I liked the Durst so much better, I started looking into Durst enlargers. It wasn’t more than a few weeks that 4 high end Durst enlargers showed up on local CL. One of which was the Durst Pictograph. I was very excited as it was designed for black and white printing! I haven’t used it yet however I have cleaned and lubed it. The programs are still intact and AF works so I removed my Omega D2XL and am anxious to try this bad boy out.
So far I have found one website with the manual. https://www.franck-rondot.com/images..._manual_EN.pdf
And the same website has the service manual https://www.franck-rondot.com/images..._Manual_V2.pdf
Beyond that I haven’t found many forum posts, blogs, videos or much else on it. I’m sure the manuals will suffice, however it would be nice to hear from someone who owns one or knows about the history and other info. The only thing I have read is that it was developed after the L1200 and it shares some parts.
