    Arca-Swiss at PhotoPlus Expo 2019

Photographer John Sanderson will be with us at the Arca-Swiss booth (#167) during PhotoPlus Expo 2019.

Come by and learn why John chooses to use an 8x10 camera, and why large format film is essential to his work. John’s landscape documentary projects include National Character, Railroad Landscapes, Highway Arbor, and Carbon County.

Learn more, view his work and read press interviews on his website:

Rod, I just saw a FB post that showed the AS Factum on a Fuji GFX. Is this something that will take Canon shift lenses and LF lenses and is there shift/rise/fall in the factum body or does it need To be part of the lens too?

Re: Arca-Swiss at PhotoPlus Expo 2019

    Hi Stephen,

The minimal grip of the GFX50R makes this possible, as the grip does not extend beyond the Fuji lens mount. In a sense, the Fuji GFX50R can become a replacement for the much more expensive digital back. With focus peaking for manual focus turned on, the GFX mirrorless camera is quick and easy to compose and focus on a view or technical camera.

Arca-Swiss has developed a new rotating adapter plate that can adapt the Fuji GFX50R to our view cameras and also R-Line tech cameras. The R-Factum you saw in the post has rise/fall and tilt built into the Factum body. The small Factum camera can be rotated and remounted when shift is desired.

Rm3di, another Arca-Swiss tech camera, can shift and rise/fall simultaneously, and has tilt built into the R-Line body. Any lens can be tilted in our R-Line system without special lens adapters.

We can mount Canon AF or TS-E lenses and Pentax 645 lenses on F-line, M-line and R-line cameras. Rodenstock or Schneider lenses 23mm - 210mm will need special R-mounting at the factory for the R-Line system. We have an adapter plate for R-Line lenses to flat mount to a 110mm lens board for view camera use. A special Hasselblad 110x110mm lens board is also available for the view camera. There are lots of choices across F-Line, M-Line and R-Line camera systems.

    Hope that helps,
    Rod
