This used without additional diagragm with holes? Fixed/constant "soft effect" ?

This is one made by Kunstler who invented the Imagon. All used the disks, although they might have mounted differently then Rodenstock ones.

Rodenstock bought Kunstler a very long time ago.

Sorry, Kuhn invented the Imagon. Not Kunstler.

Dr. Heinrich Kühn invented the concept of the Imagon. Dr. Franz Staeble was the lens designer. "Kunstler Portratobjektiv" would mean Art Portrait Lens.
While this lens clearly was made by Rodenstock, I had thought that very early Imagons might be written as Jmagon and as well 22 cm F 4 is an odd size. The image seems to have more elements that what we think of as an Imagon. I hope you get it and tell us about it.

Doesn't look much like an Imagon to me unless the front "lens" is a plain glass/filter?

Perhaps Rodenstock transferred the "Acquired trade name" to grace the Imagon product?
